Manufacturing Manager – Oceania (New Plymouth, NZ)

About the role

Arxada is seeking a Manufacturing Manager for its Oceania region, based in New Plymouth, New Zealand. You will provide strategic leadership and operational direction across a multi‑site manufacturing network, aligning regional activities with global priorities while driving safety, quality, service and cost performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Oceania manufacturing strategy in line with global operations goals.
• Lead end‑to‑end manufacturing, logistics and distribution across New Plymouth, Auckland, Trentham and Penang.
• Embed Lean principles, continuous improvement and performance management to maximise efficiency and reliability.
• Own financial and operational performance, including cost optimisation, budgeting and CAPEX planning.
• Champion a proactive EHS culture, reducing risk and strengthening compliance.
• Build and develop high‑performing teams through coaching and leadership development.
• Partner with commercial, technical and global teams to drive innovation and meet customer expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Chemistry or a related field.
• Proven experience leading manufacturing or production operations in a multi‑site environment.
• Demonstrated ability to implement Lean or continuous‑improvement programmes.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and CAPEX management.
• Track record of fostering safety‑first and compliance‑driven cultures.
