Maintenance Technician – Upper Hutt Plant

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will join the Engineering Centre of Excellence at our Upper Hutt site, supporting production through routine and corrective maintenance. You will work closely with customers and the maintenance team to keep equipment running reliably while adhering to GMP and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document preventive and corrective maintenance according to schedules and SOPs.
• Troubleshoot equipment, processes and utilities, resolving breakdowns with minimal downtime.
• Maintain GMP, corporate and legislative compliance in all activities.
• Participate in a 24‑hour call‑out roster to provide emergency support.
• Support contamination investigations, plant shutdowns and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Record work accurately using Good Documentation Practice.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in a maintenance or engineering environment.
• Trade Certificate in a relevant discipline (preferred).
• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Engineering Technology.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
