Meat Processing Team Member (Various Roles)

About the role

Join Silver Fern Farms’ meat processing team in Te Aroha. Whether you are new to the industry or already experienced, you will work in a fast‑paced environment turning carcasses into premium cuts for export to over 100 countries. You will typically work 40 hours per week during peak production, with overtime opportunities, and may benefit from flexible schedules or job sharing.

Key responsibilities

• Process carcasses into finer cuts and pack them for shipment.
• Operate in roles such as butcher, slaughterer assistant, trimmer, boner, freezer hand or general labourer.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards while handling meat.

Required profile

• Physically fit, reliable and able to attend work daily.
• Positive, hardworking attitude and ability to work closely with others.
• Willing to follow health, safety, quality and technical compliance procedures.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand, aged 18 or older, and able to pass medical, criminal and fitness checks.
