About the role
The Maintenance Fitter will support all factory teams by ensuring the mechanical plant is available, reliable and performing to the standards set out in the Business Plan. This role involves both scheduled and emergent maintenance activities across a range of mechanical equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute scheduled and emergent maintenance tasks on mechanical plant.
- Develop and implement routine maintenance checks and standard procedures.
- Assist in creating safe and practical machinery isolation practices.
- Conduct fault finding, basic root‑cause analysis and devise solutions to extend plant life.
- Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures for installed equipment.
Required profile
- Proven maintenance fitter experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Qualified Mechanical Technician – Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience with cost control and problem‑solving tools.
- Familiarity with risk identification tools.
- Full NZ driver licence class 1.
- Flexibility to work day and night shifts.
