Maintainer Operator – Manufacturing (Rotating Shifts)

About the role

Laminex Taupō is looking for a hands‑on Maintainer Operator to join its manufacturing team. You will operate, set up and maintain plant equipment, ensuring safe and efficient production in a safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and set machine parameters for production lines.
• Monitor equipment performance and make real‑time adjustments.
• Support quality checks and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues.
• Perform forklift duties and assist with material handling.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Maintainer Operator in a manufacturing setting (wood‑based industry preferred).
• Strong commitment to health & safety, teamwork and quality standards.
• Physically fit, able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Class 1 Full Driver’s Licence; OSH Forklift Licence is advantageous.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment medical testing and criminal history clearance.
• Legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

Required skills

• Operating, setting up and troubleshooting plant machinery.
• Forklift operation.
• Basic computer literacy (Outlook, Word, digital control systems).
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions.
