Logistics Coordinator

About the role

Keith Andrews Trucks, a nationwide commercial vehicle dealership network, is looking for a highly organised, hands-on Logistics Coordinator in Hamilton. The role keeps vehicles moving from arrival to delivery by coordinating vehicle movements, workshop bookings and vehicle preparation, working closely with Sales, the workshop, the wider Logistics team and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate vehicle movements across branches, workshops, body builders and external suppliers, organising transport and drivers to meet delivery dates
• Organise workshop bookings and external work, monitor progress and follow up on delays
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle location, condition and preparation status, and keep Sales and Logistics management informed of progress and issues
• Inspect incoming vehicles for damage, allocate stock numbers and keep vehicle tracking systems up to date
• Arrange quotes and purchase orders for vehicle work and accessories, and track build progress with workshops and body builders
• Ensure trucks are fitted with the correct accessories and equipment, and that compliance, certifications and documentation are completed before delivery
• Complete final quality checks, confirm payment clearance or written approval, and coordinate deliveries and customer handovers

Required profile

• Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence, minimum Class 2
• Practical understanding of commercial vehicles, truck bodies and accessories, able to interpret customer specifications
• Previous experience in logistics, vehicle coordination or the commercial transport industry is an advantage
