Laboratory Technician – Fixed-Term (Wellington)

About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Serology team in Wellington on a fixed‑term basis until October 2026. The role supports laboratory operations in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment, ensuring accurate testing of food‑related samples.

Key responsibilities

• Perform sample testing and record results using approved methods.
• Process samples within agreed timeframes.
• Store or dispose of samples according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records.
• Support the Serology team with routine laboratory tasks.

Required profile

• Recent BSc graduate in Chemistry or Biological Sciences.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Collaborative, customer‑service mindset.
• Willingness to learn and follow regulated processes.

Required skills

• ELISA testing (knowledge or training).
