About the role

Join the culinary team at St Joseph's Lifecare in Upper Hutt and help deliver nutritious, tasty meals to our residents. This casual, as‑needed position offers both morning and afternoon shifts in a supportive aged‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and plating hearty meals for residents, adhering to dietary requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen workspace, following hygiene standards.
• Support the head chef with stock checks, ingredient preparation, and kitchen organization.
• Ensure meals are delivered on time and to the appropriate quality standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in catering or food service, preferably in a commercial kitchen.
• Positive, can‑do attitude with a genuine love for helping people.
• Reliable and flexible to work on an as‑and‑when basis.
• Good communication and time‑management skills.
