Junior HR Advisor

About the role

A New Zealand‑founded technology business with a strong global footprint is seeking a Junior HR Advisor to keep the people function running smoothly during a busy growth period. This fixed‑term role runs until the end of 2026 and offers hands‑on exposure across the full employee lifecycle for an early‑career HR professional.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level HR advice to employees and managers on policies and processes.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding end‑to‑end, including advertising, interview scheduling, candidate communication and documentation.
• Support employee relations and performance matters with guidance from the Head of People.
• Maintain BambooHR data, generate reports on headcount, turnover and time‑to‑hire, and act as custodian of people systems.
• Assist with engagement, wellness and internal events to strengthen culture.
• Help coordinate payroll inputs alongside the outsourced provider.

Required profile

• Approximately three years of experience in an HR coordination or advisory role.
• Comfortable working across recruitment, HR systems and the employee lifecycle.
• Organised, detail‑focused and able to juggle competing priorities.
• Confident, approachable communicator who handles confidential matters professionally.
• Thrives in a fast‑moving, growing business and is willing to roll up sleeves.
• BambooHR experience and a relevant tertiary qualification are a plus.
