IT Network and Systems Engineer

About the role

Alliance Group is seeking a skilled IT Network & Systems Engineer to join its Invercargill office. You will be responsible for maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of both cloud and on‑premise infrastructure while supporting day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support and enhance infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and on‑premise systems.
• Maintain and optimise networks, servers, storage, and virtual environments.
• Monitor systems, respond to incidents, and minimise downtime.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
• Contribute to infrastructure design, roadmap delivery and continuous improvement.
• Work with third‑party vendors and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Document changes and assist with user adoption.

Required profile

• 3‑4+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems or network engineering.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proactive, can‑do attitude and genuine passion for technology.
