IT Field Network Engineer – Hands‑on Support for Networks & Data Centers

About the role

We are looking for an IT Field Network Engineer to provide hands‑on support for enterprise networks and data centre infrastructure across Japan. The role involves on‑site installation, configuration and rapid troubleshooting to ensure 24/7 uptime for Fortune 500 clients.

Key responsibilities

• Install, rack, stack and configure network hardware (switches, routers, servers) in enterprise campuses and data centres.
• Terminate and test fiber and copper cabling, manage patch panels and maintain accurate documentation.
• Respond to network outages or performance degradations, perform diagnostics and resolve issues or escalate when required.
• Collaborate with remote engineering teams to apply configuration changes and validate implementations.
• Support vendor deployments (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, HPE) and follow client change‑control procedures.
• Conduct post‑incident reviews and propose preventive actions to improve SLA compliance.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Japanese business communication (JLPT N3 or higher).
• Experience with Cisco IOS and Juniper JUNOS environments.
• Hands‑on knowledge of network cabling standards (Cat 6, SFP, LC/SC) and data‑centre rack & cable management.
• Familiarity with ITIL incident management processes.
• Preferred certifications: CCNA; experience with Arista or HPE switches and DCIM tools (Nlyte, Sunbird).
