IT Field Engineer / Technician – Onsite Support

About the role

We are looking for an IT Field Engineer/Technician to provide onsite support for our New Plymouth client base. The role involves responding to ticket‑based requests on a dispatch/on‑call basis, covering desktops, networks, audio‑visual equipment and basic infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve desktop and laptop hardware and software issues.
• Configure, troubleshoot and maintain LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, switches and routers.
• Set up and support audio‑video conference rooms.
• Install, upgrade and patch operating systems and applications.
• Perform hardware break‑fix and system repairs.
• Install and administer Microsoft Office suite.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling desktop, network and AV support tasks.
• Ability to work on a dispatch/on‑call schedule, part‑time or freelance.
• Strong business English communication skills; local language proficiency is a plus.
