Intermediate/Senior Accountant – Digital Advisory

About the role

BDO Wellington is seeking an Intermediate or Senior Accountant to join its Digital Advisory team. You will work with a variety of clients across multiple sectors, providing both compliance and advisory services while developing commercial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Apply accounting standards, prepare financial statements and manage reporting functions.
• Prepare management reports, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts for clients.
• Stay current on tax legislation, prepare tax returns and identify planning opportunities.
• Identify business issues, develop growth plans and advise on financial matters.
• Understand filing requirements, spot trust opportunities and implement appropriate accounting packages.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of accounting experience in a CA environment.
• Commercially savvy with strong accounting knowledge and an innovative mindset.
• Degree in accounting (or equivalent experience).
• Proactive attitude, willing to roll up sleeves and delegate when needed.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build client relationships.
