Integration Tech Lead

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Integration Tech Lead to join our Digital team in Auckland Central on a 5‑month contract. This senior technical position focuses on designing, building, and governing integrations across internal and external systems while remaining deeply involved in code delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement integrations using modern patterns, APIs, and event‑driven approaches.
• Lead technical discussions on integration architecture, security, and data flows.
• Collaborate with delivery teams, architects, and stakeholders to ensure robust, scalable solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise the overall technical capability of the team.
• Contribute to integration standards, best practices, and technical decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in integration engineering or DevOps‑adjacent roles.
• Confident with JavaScript/TypeScript and able to quickly learn new languages or frameworks.
• Proven ability to operate in complex, multi‑cloud environments and challenge designs when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and technical leadership.
