Insurance Performance Coach

About the role

ASB is seeking an experienced Insurance Performance Coach to join its Personal Banking Distribution Capability team. Based in the Wellington/Midlands region, you will help frontline teams deliver meaningful insurance conversations that drive exceptional customer outcomes and profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Drive insurance performance, financial and strategic objectives across the Personal Banking network.
• Deliver one‑on‑one and group coaching sessions to build capability and confidence.
• Maintain a branch and stakeholder visitation programme to support frontline teams and leaders.
• Champion quality insurance conversations that meet customers’ protection needs.
• Coach leaders and teams to improve specialist handovers, customer outcomes and Net Promoter Score.
• Analyse performance trends and recommend data‑driven solutions.
• Support implementation of new products, processes and strategic initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with Personal Banking, Insurance and Risk stakeholders.
• Represent ASB in external engagements and advocate for compliance and excellent service.

Required profile

• Experienced banking or financial services professional with a passion for coaching.
• Extensive knowledge of banking and insurance sales and service environments.
• Strong presentation, facilitation and communication skills.
• Proven relationship‑management and stakeholder‑engagement experience.
• Analytical mindset with ability to use data to identify trends and coaching opportunities.
• Excellent planning, organisation and autonomous work capability.
• Collaborative mindset with confidence to challenge and innovate.
