Heavy Diesel Technician – Seaview

About the role

Keith Andrews Trucks, one of New Zealand's leading commercial vehicle dealerships representing Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner and Fuso, is looking for a skilled Heavy Diesel Technician to join its Seaview workshop in Lower Hutt. The workshop is expanding, and the role suits someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants a long-term career.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, service and repair a wide range of heavy commercial vehicles
• Carry out preventative maintenance and servicing to manufacturer standards
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Communicate with the service team about repairs and customer approvals
• Complete job documentation accurately and efficiently
• Stay up to date with the latest vehicle technology and manufacturer training
• Maintain a safe, clean and compliant workshop environment

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience as a Heavy Diesel Technician or a relevant trade qualification
• A Class 1 or 2L licence; the employer will support the right person to gain a Class 5 licence
• Ability to work in a busy workshop with a positive attitude
