Heartbeat Training Manager

About the role

The Heartbeat Training Manager leads Wellington Free Ambulance’s community CPR and AED education programme delivered through the Lloyd Morrison Foundation Heartbeat CPR Programme. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, resourcing and delivering free training across Greater Wellington and the Wairarapa.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of community CPR and AED training sessions.
• Plan and coordinate training calendars, venues, equipment and tutor availability.
• Recruit, train and manage a pool of Heartbeat tutors.
• Support marketing activities to promote the Heartbeat programme.
• Collaborate with the Heartbeat AED Manager to ensure a seamless experience for organisations purchasing AEDs after training.
• Monitor training outcomes and report on programme impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading community health education or training programmes.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Required skills

• CPR instruction and certification.
• AED operation and training.
