Head of Organisational Development

About the role

Powerco is seeking a strategic leader to head Organisational Development across its enterprise. Reporting to the GM of People, Safety & Culture, you will shape leadership capability, workforce effectiveness and organisational performance in a safety‑critical energy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise‑wide OD initiatives to strengthen leadership, team performance and organisational health.
• Partner with senior leaders and the People & Culture business‑partnering team to design and deliver OD priorities that enhance strategic execution.
• Design, govern and continuously improve frameworks for organisational design, leadership expectations, capability pathways, performance systems and learning rhythms.
• Provide trusted advice on organisational effectiveness, accountability, team dynamics and ways of working.
• Oversee the OD and Learning & Development functions to deliver business‑aligned initiatives that lift performance.

Required profile

• Significant experience in organisational development within complex, enterprise‑level environments.
• Proven track record designing and embedding leadership, capability and performance frameworks.
• Strong influencing skills with senior leaders and ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
• Experience leading teams and integrating OD, learning and leadership systems.
• Sound judgement, commercial awareness and ability to operate in regulated or operational settings.
