Head of Operations – Wealth Administration (New Zealand)

About the role

Apex Group is seeking a senior leader to head the Wealth Administration operations function in New Zealand. You will be responsible for overseeing corporate actions, trading, and operational controls while ensuring high‑quality service delivery for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations of the Wealth Admin team, maintaining service excellence and data‑driven performance reporting.
• Develop and nurture client relationships, identifying cross‑selling and up‑selling opportunities.
• Drive change initiatives that improve efficiency, support business growth, and enhance operational resilience.
• Maintain a robust control framework, ensuring regulatory compliance in a complex environment.
• Identify, analyse, and resolve complex operational issues, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver trusted, high‑impact client services.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in wealth administration, fund services, or related financial operations.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management within the financial sector.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and drive business development.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
