Head of Finance – ABNZ & Allpress

About the role

Asahi Beverages is looking for an experienced, commercially‑savvy Head of Finance to lead financial strategy and performance for Asahi Beverages New Zealand (ABNZ) and Allpress. Reporting to senior commercial leaders, you will act as a trusted advisor, shaping investment decisions and driving sustainable growth across the New Zealand operations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the General Manager Commercial – Oceania, Country Manager New Zealand and Sales Director to influence strategy and investment decisions.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing finance team, delivering actionable commercial and strategic insights.
• Own end‑to‑end financial performance, including P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow optimisation.
• Provide robust challenge to strategic, commercial and operational plans, promoting a “One Asahi” mindset.
• Oversee financial governance, statutory reporting, compliance, risk management and internal controls.
• Drive key planning and reporting processes: strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, IBP and month‑end close.
• Champion ERP and finance transformation initiatives, ensuring data integrity and meaningful insights.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance or Accounting with CA/CPA (or equivalent) qualification.
• Extensive senior finance leadership experience with full P&L ownership.
• Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders in fast‑paced, complex environments (FMCG or multinational experience preferred).
• Experience leading finance teams across multiple markets or jurisdictions.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights.
• Demonstrated leadership in matrix organisations and experience with transformation or ERP projects.
