Graduate Engineer – Graduate Programme

About the role

Join Powerco’s 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Engineer and rotate across multiple workstreams in New Plymouth, Tauranga, Palmerston North, or Gisborne. You’ll work on real projects that impact customers, contractors and the energy industry while developing a solid foundation in utility engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in workstream rotations to gain broad exposure across the business.
• Deliver real‑world engineering projects, including site visits and field interactions.
• Attend industry conferences and events to gather insights and network.
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to ensure safe, reliable energy delivery.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a conjoint degree or diploma in engineering and another discipline.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to simplify complex issues.
• Confident communicator with a vision for innovation and purpose.

• Competitive salary of $65,000 per year.
