Global Talent Acquisition Director

About the role

ZURU is seeking a senior leader to unify its two separate talent acquisition operations – one based in New Zealand serving global markets and another in China – into a single, high‑performing global function. The role will drive a proactive, pipeline‑focused hiring strategy that matches ZURU’s rapid 30% year‑on‑year growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the end‑to‑end global talent acquisition strategy across International and China teams.
• Align China TA Managers and International TA Managers to a single set of standards, processes, and candidate experiences.
• Review current TA structure, roles, KPIs and design a scalable resourcing model for current and future growth.
• Build frameworks, processes and tools that enable mass adoption and empower hiring managers to take greater ownership of recruitment.
• Shift the organization from reactive hiring to proactive sourcing by establishing robust pipeline strategies.
• Refine TA systems and onboarding processes for new team members.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in global talent acquisition or recruitment functions.
• Track record of designing and implementing unified TA strategies across multiple regions.
• Strong ability to influence senior leaders and drive change at pace.
• Experience scaling recruitment operations in high‑growth, fast‑moving environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a data‑driven mindset.
