Security Analyst - Fully Remote

About the role

Mercor is seeking a Security Analyst to work fully remotely on AI‑focused security projects. You will join a distributed team of experts, applying your programming and cybersecurity knowledge to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and review content for security vulnerabilities, emphasizing pattern recognition and classification in an AI context.
• Apply systems‑programming expertise to improve AI model threat detection and reasoning.
• Collaborate asynchronously with a team of highly qualified domain experts.
• Design, solve, and review challenging, real‑world security problems.
• Maintain independent work habits and flexible hours to meet project milestones.

Required profile

• 2+ years of programming experience in C, C++ or Java.
• Familiarity with vulnerability classification frameworks such as OWASP or CVEs.
• Solid understanding of core cybersecurity concepts, including web security and common attack vectors.
• Strong attention to detail and pattern‑recognition abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Based in the U.S., Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand and able to pass an enhanced background check.
• Availability to start in mid‑April.
