Gardener / Mower Operator

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager and Team Manager, you will maintain the villages under Green by Nature’s care, performing planting, weeding, pruning, spraying and vegetation control. You will operate walk‑behind mowers and small equipment such as weed eaters and hedge trimmers while prioritising safety for yourself, the team and the community.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain gardens that meet client expectations, sourcing plants and materials and following garden plans.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of designated sites, including maintenance and renovation projects.
• Communicate regularly with managers and clients, promptly reporting any garden or planting issues.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance and quality in all gardening activities.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in gardening and horticulture.
• Full, clean driver’s licence with manual transmission capability.
• Level 3/4 National Certificate in Horticulture (preferred).
• Solid knowledge of plant species and their maintenance needs.
• Ability to interpret and execute detailed gardening plans with precision.
• Strong interpersonal skills for professional client and community interaction.
• Proactive, results‑driven approach with a commitment to high‑quality work.
