Founding Account Executive – New Zealand

About the role

Plexa is launching its AI‑focused construction platform in New Zealand and needs a founding Account Executive to own and grow the market. You will be the primary sales leader, building relationships with commercial builders and driving revenue from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and open doors with New Zealand’s leading commercial construction firms.
• Create and manage your own sales pipeline from prospecting to close.
• Conduct product demonstrations and lead commercial negotiations.
• Collaborate directly with Plexa’s founders and Australian teams to shape the NZ go‑to‑market strategy.
• Become the trusted point of contact for customers thinking of Plexa.

Required profile

• Established credibility and network within New Zealand’s construction industry.
• Proven experience selling enterprise or construction technology solutions.
• Comfortable engaging with project managers, site managers, commercial managers, operations teams and senior executives.
• Motivated to win business from incumbent providers rather than just defend existing accounts.
• Desire to build a new market rather than manage an existing sales territory.

Required skills

• Experience selling construction software such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, HammerTech, Aconex or Jobpac.
