Forklift/Yard Operator

About the role

Join our Rolleston team and keep the distribution centre moving. You’ll be loading and unloading trucks, operating the forklift, maintaining stock accuracy and ensuring every load leaves safely and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the forklift to move and store product safely around the site.
• Load and unload trucks accurately and on schedule.
• Pick and receive orders, conduct stocktakes and make stock adjustments.
• Perform daily forklift checks, report defects and maintain the yard.
• Support the dispatch team and assist customers as needed.
• Complete incident reports, near‑miss reports and safety observations.

Required profile

• 1–2 years’ forklift experience with a current F endorsement.
• Valid licence classes W, T, R (Class 2 preferred, support to obtain can be provided).
• Background in civil construction, building or manufacturing.
• Team‑first attitude with good communication skills.
• Strong commitment to safety.
