Financial Analyst – Critical ICT Services

About the role

Transpower is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Application Services team within its ICT division. The role focuses on financial planning, forecasting, reporting and commercial oversight for a portfolio of nationally significant enterprise and critical applications that underpin New Zealand’s electricity system.

Key responsibilities

• Perform financial planning, forecasting and reporting for the application portfolio.
• Coordinate vendor contracts, renewals and procurement processes.
• Partner with business leaders to improve financial and commercial visibility and control.
• Ensure financial information, forecasts, commentary, contract records and process documentation are accurate and timely.
• Provide commercial support and analysis to aid sound decision‑making across Application Services.

Required profile

• Strong background in financial analysis and reporting.
• Ability to develop sound commercial judgement quickly.
• Experience working with vendor contracts and procurement processes.
• Comfort collaborating with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
• Interest or experience in ICT services supporting critical infrastructure.
