About the role

As a Finance Business Partner you will act as a dedicated financial advisor to specific business units, working closely with senior leadership to influence strategic decisions. The role goes beyond number‑crunching, requiring you to translate financial data into actionable insights in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to budget holders, delivering proactive and integrated business and financial insights.
• Provide sound analysis and forward‑looking financial options to support, inform, or challenge operational decisions.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate, strategy‑aligned, and timely financial plans.
• Connect financial and non‑financial data, translating complex information into clear, actionable recommendations for managers.
• Contribute to the development and validation of business cases, ensuring realistic resourcing, benefit realization, and policy compliance.
• Mentor and coach junior staff to develop organisational talent.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CAANZ or equivalent) with 3–4 years post‑qualification experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence, able to build strong relationships and communicate complex messages simply.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities, capable of complex problem‑solving, strategic thinking, and managing diverse stakeholder interests.
