Field Service Engineer I

About the role

Honeywell is looking for a Field Service Engineer I to join its Wellington team. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality projects and service work at customer sites, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and control all aspects of assigned projects and service deliveries.
• Provide reactive and planned maintenance, upgrades, and replacements on live operational sites.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to understand site needs.
• Offer technical support to peers, account managers and other engineers.
• Identify sales and service opportunities and keep customers informed of system enhancements.
• Continuously update technical knowledge through self‑learning and training.

Required profile

• Degree or extensive experience in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years experience with BMS/HVAC or security systems, preferably using Niagara platforms.
• Strong understanding of control theory, plant operation, tuning, fault‑finding and diagnostics.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple objectives and travel across the central and lower North Island.
