About the role

Jacobs is inviting expressions of interest from architects, architectural technicians and interior designers based in New Zealand to join its Regional Hospital Redevelopment Programme. The role involves contributing to one of the country’s largest health‑infrastructure transformations, working with multidisciplinary teams to create resilient, patient‑centred environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and delivery of large‑scale hospital and health‑care projects across New Zealand.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners and clinical stakeholders to develop functional, sustainable spaces.
• Apply design excellence to improve patient care, staff experience and long‑term system resilience.
• Participate in public‑sector project workflows, including compliance, documentation and stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Mid‑level to senior professionals (associate or principal level) with experience in public‑sector projects such as hospitals, educational facilities or complex infrastructure.
• Strong passion for design quality and community impact.
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work within integrated project teams.
• Interest in contributing to a transformational national health programme; health‑sector experience is a plus but not mandatory.
