Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join Miraka Limited’s plant in Mokai, New Zealand. Reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, you will ensure the reliability and performance of utilities, milk‑processing, drying and packing equipment, keeping the operation safe and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and preventative maintenance on plant and utility electrical systems.
• Diagnose faults, repair electrical equipment and minimise downtime.
• Support plant reliability initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with production and other teams to maintain smooth operations.

Required profile

• Registered Electrician qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance.
• Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements.

Required skills

• Electrical systems maintenance.
• Industrial equipment maintenance.
• Fault finding and repair.
• Use of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) – desirable.
