Duty Manager

About the role

The Duty Manager is the primary point of contact on shift, ensuring smooth hotel operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences at Movenpick Wellington.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main liaison between guests and hotel operations during your shift.
• Coordinate front‑office activities, manage guest arrivals, departures and VIP services.
• Analyse guest feedback and propose improvements to senior leadership.
• Maintain and update guest profiles in Opera Cloud, ensuring accurate VIP status.
• Uphold safety and security standards for guests and staff.
• Control credit and cash transactions, room‑key issuance and protect guest confidentiality.
• Implement and promote Accor’s loyalty and recognition programmes.
• Motivate team members to solve problems creatively and exceed guest expectations.

Required profile

• Previous front‑office supervisory experience.
• Current Managers Certificate (mandatory).
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Immaculate personal presentation and strong written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated leadership capability.
• Willingness to work a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays and both morning and night shifts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Opera Cloud guest‑profile system.
