Director / Senior Director, Project Delivery – Renal

About the role

Emerald Clinical Trials is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Project Delivery to lead its renal therapeutic portfolio. This senior leadership position oversees the Project Management team, ensuring the successful execution of clinical studies from contract award through delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and retain a high‑performing team of Project Directors, Managers and Specialists.
• Allocate resources across projects, balancing business priorities and staff development.
• Oversee project delivery to meet quality, budget, timeline and regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and process innovation within the Project Management function.
• Engage with clients, contribute to proposals, bid defenses and presentations.
• When required, act as a billable Project Director on high‑demand or strategic projects, managing scope, finances and team leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior project management leadership within a CRO or clinical research environment.
• Strong track record of building and mentoring high‑performing teams.
• Excellent understanding of clinical trial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
