Digital Solutions Architect (Fixed‑term to Dec 2029)

About the role

Auckland Airport is seeking a Digital Solutions Architect on a fixed‑term contract through December 2029. You will shape enterprise‑scale digital solutions that support airport operations, retail, parking and corporate systems, ensuring they are secure, scalable and future‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end solution design, applying architecture principles, standards and reference patterns.
• Partner with PMO, vendors and Digital Operations to provide design assurance from build through go‑live and handover.
• Scan emerging technologies (AI, automation, IoT, digital identity) and run lightweight proofs of concept.
• Embed security and privacy from the outset and lead designs through ARB governance.
• Build strong relationships across business units, facilitate workshops and communicate architecture decisions clearly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or a related field.
• Proven experience designing enterprise‑level solutions.
• Strong leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, AWS or Azure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
