Cyber Consultant / Senior Consultant (Auckland & Wellington)

About the role

Deloitte is looking for a motivated Cyber Consultant or Senior Consultant to join its Cyber, Privacy & Resilience team in Auckland and Wellington. You will work with a diverse portfolio of public and private organisations, helping them protect their assets and achieve business goals in a secure manner.

Key responsibilities

• Provide security architecture and design advice to embed secure‑by‑design practices.
• Secure cloud environments across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and Salesforce.
• Implement cyber tools and controls such as DevSecOps pipelines, endpoint protection and DLP solutions.
• Develop cyber strategies, conduct technical security assessments and support certification/accreditation processes.
• Offer privacy guidance, business continuity and resilience advice.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and act as a strategic advisor.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in cyber consulting (Consultant) or 4‑5 years (Senior Consultant).
• Relevant IT qualification is an advantage.
• Previous consulting or advisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, report writing and presentation skills.
• Passion for learning and staying up‑to‑date with security trends.
