Customer Service Representative – Tauranga City

About the role

As a Customer Service Representative at Westpac in Tauranga City, you will be the first friendly voice customers hear when they need help with their banking. You will assist with everyday queries, resolve issues quickly and guide customers toward the digital tools that make banking easier.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone, email or in‑branch, handling enquiries about online banking, card disputes and regulatory matters.
• Guide customers through Westpac’s digital platforms, helping them set up and use online services confidently.
• Investigate and resolve problems on the spot while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Prioritise multiple requests, maintain accurate records and follow up to guarantee a positive customer experience.

Required profile

• Strong background in customer service or administration with a genuine passion for helping people.
• Ability to stay calm, composed and solutions‑focused while juggling several priorities.
• Growth mindset and desire to build a long‑term career in banking.
• Willingness to learn about financial services, compliance and regulated environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital banking tools and the ability to teach customers how to use them.
• Basic understanding of financial services concepts or eagerness to acquire this knowledge.
