Customer Service & Operations Support

About the role

Join Hynds at the Kaiwharawhara branch as a Customer Service & Operations Support team member. You will work in a fast‑paced retail environment, helping customers find the right products while also supporting the day‑to‑day logistics of the branch.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with product selection and provide sales support.
• Load and unload trucks, operate the forklift, and ensure safe deliveries.
• Maintain accurate stock levels, code items, and keep the yard and showroom tidy.
• Participate in stocktakes, cycle counts, and 5S housekeeping practices.
• Follow health and safety procedures, report hazards, and support new starter training.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for delivering high‑quality customer service.
• Team‑player with reliable attendance and the ability to stay calm during busy periods.
• Willingness to develop product knowledge and learn new tasks.
• Physical ability to handle items up to 20 kg safely.
• Full NZ Class 1 driver licence with F endorsement.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (or willingness to be trained).
