About the role

The Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine will provide clinical leadership for a specialist neuro‑rehabilitation service delivering inpatient care to adults with complex neurological conditions. Working within a regional network, the role supports the expansion of specialist capacity and the development of evidence‑based pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery and continuous development of specialist neuro‑rehabilitation services.
• Provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nurses and physicians.
• Support the expansion of inpatient capacity and integration with acute hospitals and community teams.
• Develop and implement rehabilitation pathways across the regional network.
• Ensure timely, high‑quality, evidence‑based care for patients.

Required profile

• Specialist registration (or eligibility) in Rehabilitation Medicine.
• Proven experience in neuro‑rehabilitation and managing complex neurological patients.
• Strong leadership, service development and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to patient‑centred care, education, quality improvement and clinical governance.

• Salary €238,221 – €286,151 per year for a 37‑hour week.
