Commercial Finance Manager – On‑Premise & Retail (NZ)

About the role

Vinarchy is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to join its New Zealand team. This high‑impact position sits at the heart of the business, partnering closely with Sales to drive performance across Retail and On‑Premise channels. You will go beyond reporting numbers, shaping the strategic decisions that influence profit and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Retail and On‑Premise Sales teams to deliver clear, actionable commercial insight.
• Own forecasting, budgeting, S&OP inputs and regular performance rhythms.
• Drive promotional spend effectiveness, pricing decisions and ROI analysis.
• Translate data into commercial recommendations and support customer reviews.
• Improve systems, reporting and ways of working across the finance function.
• Assist profit‑centre management in making informed business decisions.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification (essential).
• Minimum 4 years experience in a Financial/Commercial Manager role, preferably in retail, FMCG or the liquor industry.
• Proven ability to influence non‑finance stakeholders and deliver outcomes.
• Comfortable balancing hands‑on delivery with continuous improvement.
• Commercially sharp, pragmatic and confident in a fast‑paced environment.
