Commercial Analyst – Finance & Sales

About the role

Join the ANZ Commercial & Finance Team at Detpak and play a pivotal role in delivering financial and operational analysis for the ANZ sales entities. You will partner with sales colleagues to shape commercial strategies, ensure compliance, and support the long‑term growth and profitability of the Detmold Group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the commercial preparation, analysis and presentation of customer tenders.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end financial processes, including GL and balance‑sheet reconciliations and P&L production.
• Identify low‑margin categories, provide market‑intelligence recommendations and manage customer rebates with signed agreements.
• Produce customer profitability reports, highlight performance against targets and suggest cost‑improvement actions.
• Monitor and manage the cost‑to‑serve for NZ entities, flag budget deviations and propose cost‑effective alternatives.
• Generate monthly cash‑flow statements and forecasts, ensuring creditor and loan commitments are met.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
• Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and influencing abilities.
• Analytical mindset, problem‑solving skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Resilient, proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
