Clinical Research Associate (II/III) – New Zealand

About the role

The Clinical Research Associate (CRA) – level II or III – will act as the primary liaison between investigational sites, Novotech and the sponsor, ensuring participant safety and data integrity throughout the trial lifecycle. This position is based in New Zealand and offers flexible hybrid working arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with principal investigators, study coordinators, pharmacists and site staff.
• Collaborate with In‑house CRA and Regulatory Start‑up teams to prepare essential site documents and support ethics and regulatory submissions.
• Drive site recruitment, develop site‑specific recruitment plans and monitor enrolment against targets.
• Conduct monitoring visits (site selection, initiation, routine monitoring, close‑out, unblinded pharmacy and co‑monitoring) both onsite and remotely, ensuring compliance with ICH GCP, local regulations and Novotech SOPs.
• Document findings accurately, follow up on corrective actions and ensure timely site deliverables.

Required profile

• Graduate in a clinical or life‑sciences related field (or equivalent allied health qualification).
• Full unrestricted right to work in New Zealand (no sponsorship available).
• Strong time‑management, attention to detail and ability to work well within a team.
• For CRA II: minimum 6 months of independent CRA monitoring experience.
• For CRA III: 2 + years of independent CRA monitoring experience.
