Clinical Lead – Musculoskeletal Services

About the role
Habit Health, one of New Zealand’s largest integrated health providers, is seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to drive clinical excellence across its Musculoskeletal (MSK) services in the Hawkes Bay and Gisborne regions. This full‑time (or part‑time for the right candidate) position offers the chance to mentor a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a personal caseload of MSK clients.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with regional and national clinical leaders to develop and enhance the MSK service offering.
- Provide clinical guidance, mentoring, and support to physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, and other allied health professionals.
- Maintain a clinical caseload, delivering high‑quality assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
- Promote evidence‑based practice and ensure services meet the highest professional standards.
- Support clinical excellence through case reviews, peer mentoring, professional development, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, referrers, ACC, employers, and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to service innovation that improves client outcomes, service delivery, and operational performance.
Required profile
- Physiotherapy degree with a postgraduate qualification in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
- Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
- At least five years of clinical experience; leadership exposure highly valued.
- Experience in private practice, rehabilitation, ACC, vocational rehabilitation, or community‑based MSK services.
- Full driver’s licence for travel between regions.
- Passion for delivering exceptional musculoskeletal rehabilitation outcomes.
