Checkout Team Member – Fixed-Term (Queenstown)

About the role

Join The Warehouse team in Queenstown as a Checkout Team Member on a fixed‑term basis. You will be the front‑line face of the store, delivering fast, friendly service at the till while ensuring customers feel valued. The role runs until 30 April 2027, with set hours from Tuesday to Saturday, 7:30 am‑4:00 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
• Provide a welcoming and helpful experience to every customer.
• Maintain a clean, organised checkout area and ensure all equipment is functional.
• Handle customer enquiries, returns and any issues with calm professionalism.
• Support fellow team members during busy periods and assist with store duties as needed.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Patience and problem‑solving mindset for handling challenging situations.
• Organisational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Basic operation of a POS (point‑of‑sale) system.
