Checkout Team Member – Dunedin South

About the role

Join The Warehouse team in Dunedin South as a Checkout Team Member, working the evening shift from Sunday to Thursday. You will be the final point of contact for customers using our self‑checkout stations, ensuring a smooth and friendly experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers at self‑checkout stations, providing speedy service and helping them pack purchases.
• Guide shoppers to the next available checkout and respond promptly to their needs.
• Support the loss‑prevention team by reporting concerns and maintaining a tidy, customer‑ready area.
• Keep checkout supplies stocked, including bags, and ensure the checkout zone remains clean.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑facing role (retail or hospitality) is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, can‑do attitude.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods during shift hours.
