Cellar Door Hosts - Marlborough Summer 2026-2027

About the role

Cloudy Bay Vineyards is looking for enthusiastic Cellar Door Hosts to join its hospitality team in Blenheim, Marlborough, for the summer season. The roles are fixed-term, running approximately six months from October/November 2026 through to March/April 2027, and involve delivering wine tasting and food experiences for guests. The cellar door is open 10am to 5pm seven days a week, so weekend and public holiday work is required.

Key responsibilities

• Create a warm, professional and memorable experience for every guest
• Share a passion for excellent customer service
• Turn positive guest experiences into wine sales and long-term brand loyalty
• Encourage visitors to join the wine club and return
• Support private experiences and VIP events when required

Required profile

• Hospitality experience, ideally in a tasting room, cellar door or restaurant
• Experience in a fast-paced luxury environment within a large team preferred
• Sales-focused mindset, able to promote wines, food and merchandise naturally and confidently
• Positive, enthusiastic and team-oriented approach
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays
• Strong English communication skills; an additional language is an advantage
• Legal right to work in New Zealand (no visa sponsorship available)
