Category Customer Senior Analyst

About the role

Kraft Heinz is hiring a Category Customer Senior Analyst for its Sales team in Auckland, New Zealand. The role sits within the Category Customer function and supports the Category Customer Manager with strategy, planning and insights for key accounts. It is a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Category Customer Manager with process and analysis for Joint Business and Joint Category plans, aligning Kraft Heinz and customer strategies over 18-month horizons
• Understand retailer performance across categories, with a focus on Balance/Protect categories, and monitor retailer-oriented plans with Finance to close gaps against the plan
• Review market share monthly and scan for internal routines and planning issues
• Support objective setting and R&O for Must Win/Grow range reviews, and help write stories and sell-ins for customer workshops and range reviews with Sales, Category Revenue and Category Development
• Advise on customer targets for new product launches, including distribution and margin assumptions, and identify risks and develop retailer-oriented plans
• Help build deletion defence stories and support customer planning around segmentation, ranging gaps and promotional activation
• Work with Category Development and Marketing on ranging decisions, and use tools and data on range, shelf layout and distribution performance

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in Category Management, shopper insights, Key Account Management or a related sales function
• Strong commercial acumen, ideally from direct experience in Sales or Category management
• Customer-facing experience selling plans to customers
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, and an action-focused approach
• Account management experience is advantageous; FMCG experience desired

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with Quantium, Circana or Dunnhumby
• Promotion and/or range modelling
• Nielsen/IRI Scan/Panel, Demantra, JDA, Tableau or similar systems knowledge is a plus
