Business Development Manager

About the role

Kraft Heinz, one of the world's largest food and beverage companies, is hiring a Business Development Manager for its New Zealand Sales Team, based in Newmarket, Auckland. The role sits within the New Zealand sales organisation and focuses on growing the business through new accounts and private label channels.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Alt channel customers such as Costco, The Warehouse and Chemist Warehouse, and manage the private label portfolio for Foodstuffs and Woolworths
• Manage artwork update projects for private label lines and reduce SCL (SLOB and clearance) for the NZ business
• Work with the Head of New Business Development to build account-specific business plans and measure performance against set standards
• Sell to targeted new accounts, identify and lock them in, and negotiate agreements in line with company policy and budget
• Own the P&L for a portfolio of categories and lead cross-functional partners to deliver results
• Take part in day-to-day management of potential or current contract manufacturing relationships and manage the IBP process for the portfolio
• Work with accounts and internal units to create tailored product solutions and JBPs, monitor performance and take corrective action where needed
• Share information on forecasting, opportunity pipeline, NPDs and pricing with key internal stakeholders

Required profile

• Ambition, drive and integrity, with a desire to be a leader who delivers for their people
• Previous experience in a new business role is desired but not essential
• Passion for change management in a global environment, eagerness to learn and enjoyment of teamwork
