Casual Registered Nurse

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to join our team at Redroofs Lifecare on a casual basis. You will work AM, PM, night and weekend shifts, providing high‑quality, hospital‑standard care to our residents in a warm, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of dedicated caregivers to ensure high‑level quality care.
• Develop, monitor and update individual care plans.
• Conduct clinical assessments and deliver nursing interventions.
• Build lasting relationships with residents, families and general practitioners.
• Support Clinical Services and Care Home Managers in daily operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse, either in New Zealand or abroad.
• Current APC (Annual Practising Certificate) registration.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Genuine passion for helping people with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Team‑oriented mindset with empathy and a drive to improve resident wellbeing.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures and a commitment to continuous improvement.
