Casual Registered Nurse – Aged Care

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Registered Nurse to join our casual pool at the Summerset village in Papamoa. You will provide high-quality aged-care nursing services, supporting residents to enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage residents’ daily clinical needs, including end-of-life care.
• Develop and follow long-term care plans and conduct clinical assessments.
• Take charge of the care centre on assigned shifts, making appropriate clinical decisions.
• Deliver planned nursing care and evaluate progress in partnership with residents and families.
• Provide guidance to caregivers on shift and build trusted relationships with residents and families.

Required profile

• Current NZ nursing registration and practising certificate.
• Genuine interest in working with older people in a retirement-village setting.
• Ability to lead, stay calm under pressure and demonstrate emotional resilience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
