Business Development Manager – Transport & Mobility (NZ/Aus)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to accelerate growth of a leading intelligence platform across New Zealand and Australia. The role focuses on the transport and mobility sector, helping large organisations turn data into smarter decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities throughout NZ and Australia.
• Own the full sales lifecycle, from early engagement to contract closure.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline within transport authorities, operators and government agencies.
• Lead complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles and navigate procurement processes.
• Shape solutions together with product and delivery teams and lead commercial negotiations.
• Maintain disciplined pipeline management using CRM systems.
• Represent the organisation at industry events and provide market insights for strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or complex B2B sales, preferably SaaS, transport, infrastructure or data/analytics.
• Strong track record of achieving revenue targets and managing end‑to‑end sales cycles.
• Confidence engaging senior decision‑makers in enterprise and government sectors.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a team.
• Willingness to travel regularly across New Zealand and Australia.
